This weekend, he competed in the USRowing Indoor National Championships/C.R.A.S.H. – B. World Indoor Rowing Championships. This is the largest and most prestigious indoor rowing event in the world. This year’s event was held virtually which led to an increased number of entries. Alex’s event was almost double in size from last year.
Alex raced in the U17 event, against the fastest 16-year-old rowers from across the globe. The athletes had their rowing machines connected to the internet so they would be able to race against each other in real-time. His event was over 100 in size and Alex placed SIXTH. To get into the top half is a huge achievement – to be top ten is really something special.
Please join us in congratulating this phenomenal young man on his extraordinary accomplishment.
